Hey, I was just wondering if I should even download the new flash player. Does it have critical differences, like in 7 key movements work, but in 8 they don't. Stuff like that, just want feedback on how it flows. Will it work ok with my version? (MX 2004)I think Flash Player 8 is better. I still do not see any problem.Flash Player 8 doesn't have any problems - it's out of beta.Well, I just downloaded 8 a yesterday, and I haven't noticed any difference, I use 2004.I upgraded, and so far the only problem I've experienced is people with Flash Detection scripts who stupidly check for an exact version number instead of just checking to make sure the version number installed isn't less than what the version number required is.
So I've been to sites that require the Flash 7 player, so they just check for the Flash 7 player, thus Flash 8 returns that you don't have Flash installed.
This is the developers issue and not the plugins issue. I haven't experienced anything with the plugin itself (yet).supposed to be better for media, video ect. but this might just be the program and not the player. Correct me if I am wrong please.
uses new codec if I'm right, look it up on macromedia, 'm sure they will tell you, and it being a beta, it comes with problems, there is post on prolems with flash 8 on this site that has ongoing updates to it. not sure if they address the player but someone there should know best. check it by searching for it.
Good luck.Flash Player 8 doesn't have any problems - it's out of beta.
Oooh, that's quite a daring thing to say isn't it? :worried: ;)#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
