I am trying to book another MHD through the PTO and it comes back with a fare over $2K higher than travelocity. How do I get it to ticket Mexicana / United flights as opposed to AC flights, or get it at least to "find me" the fares that travelocity posts?
BB I think you have this mastered, can you help? Or anyone else?Send me your info and I will see if I can decipher the problem. I would re-read the other threads and see, also do you have the exact routing rules from Expedia? Often you cannot do direct flights between certain cities eg. I can't do MEX-YYZ, I always have to go MEX-ORD-YYZ. I just fiddle with PTO by trying different combos.
Another problem is that a flight may be sold out and forcing you to an AC rather than a MX flight number (even though it is the same plane). I know if I plug in the UA flight number on a AC/MX style ticket, the fare will go up by 2K. UA flights are not allowed on most AC or MX tickets, only UA tickets (which sometimes are cheaper than the AC/MX tickets).
A travel agent may be able to help too.
