I live on the west coast, but totally want to move to the midwest. I just want to know what its like. Thanks.It depends on where you are and what you think is cool. If you like big cities, Chicago and St. Louis are both pretty cool, especially if you like bar-hopping and music and good food. If you're into cultural stuff like museums and theaters, Chicago and Minneapolis-St. Paul are both pretty good. You'll want to bring a coat to Minneapolis, though. If you want small town living and cows, most of the midwest states have a lot of farmland. (I live between a soybean field and a cornfield.) The area around the Great Lakes is beautiful if you like forests and water or winter sports.
You can find just about anything (except maybe good bagels) in the Midwest if you look hard enough.i live in michigan and i love it. there is so much to do here. we have the great lakes and over 2000 inland lakes and we have over 120 waterfalls. you can go swimming in our lakes and not worry about any thing attacking you. you can go boating swimming water skiing jet skiing kanoeing kayaking rafting tubing you can go hiking winter time u can go skiing cross country skiing snowmobiling ice fishing Depends on where on the West coast you currently live and where in the Midwest you want to move! I lived in Nebraska for five years getting educated and Lincoln is a fairly quiet place, nice for studying. Omaha is growing fast and it is larger and more diverse, with more things to do there. That is about all I can tell you. I have been all over, but I am most familiar with those two since I lived there.I'm origianlly from the Northeast and I lived in Wisconsin for 3 years. I will say that the people are more friendly and down to earth. It is a slower pace living in the midwest but I made some great friends!! Try it, you only live once.It sucks.
