iceland in jan/feb
Very few other tourists, COLD, and VERY short days.
Well, it's certainly warmer than your home towns of ORD and BOS in Jan/Feb. Don't let the name fool you too much! And daylight comes back rapidly after the deep darkness of December...
Yes, there are fewer tourists and the prices are near give-away at that time. Most tourists come for Iceland's (Reykjavik's) great "indoors" in winter, i.e. nightlife. You will not be able to do justice to Iceland's (outdoor) natural beauty if you come in winter.
anything to see or experience at that time? airfares and hotels will be cheap, right?
