  • How do I make a hidden folder?

  • I want to make a folder so hidden from others that only I'll be able to find it. I want to put a password on it, and make it, like, invisible so I'd have to search or something to find it. Yes, it's for porno, sue me! Any tips? Thanks

  • You can't password a folder without additional software. But to hide it is simple!

Right click on your folder, go to properties and click the hidden attribute at the bottom then Ok. If it asks you whether to apply it to the folder or all the files, just select the folder.

  • Right click on the folder, then click Properties. Under Attributes, click the Hidden box, then click Apply.

Then you'll need to go to Tools and click Folder Options and View, then click the button next to Do Not Show Hiden Files/Folders and click Apply.

The file will only appear when you change the View status.

  • Making it "invisible is easy in Windows. Right click on the folder and go to "Properties" and under "attributes" click on the box "Hidden." Now go to "tools" at the top of your Windows Explorer and go to " folder options" and find where it says view hidden folders and make sure that box doesn't have a check by it.

  • On XP, if you're just using the PC among others, make sure that they have the "Show hidden Files and Folders" option turned off in their user account. (Do that via Control Panel>Folder Options) Then make your folder,>Right Click>Go to Properties>Check the "Hidden" checkbox under the "attributes" section. As for Passwords, i don't know, 3rd party software might help!
If you know other users are running limited user accounts, and you're running an Admin account, no problem! If you have a folder not under "shared Documents" any folders they'll try to access from their account will give the message "Acces Is Denied."

  • Well, right click on the folder, properties, and click on the "hidden" checkbox. To see it, go to the windows file browser, hit tools, and folder options. On the view tab you'll find what you need.

Im not sure there is a password for folders in windows, but check :
"folder password protect" on google. You'll find plenty of programs.
