  • [BTNN] Fired 'CSI' star speaks out!

  • George Eads wants his job back. Yesterday, at a press conference for TNT's 'Evel Knievel', the recently fired 'CSI' star revealed that he would like to return to the show. Eads was booted from the show last week when he and co-star Jorja Fox didn't show up for work during a salary dispute.

According to Eads, it was all one big misunderstanding. It was only a coincidence that he failed to show up, just like he threatened would happen if he didn't get a pay raise. The truth, Eads claims, is that he overslept. "It's like I'm the quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys and I slept through the first practice," said Eads.

CBS has yet to comment on whether or not Eads will be let back after this startling revelation.

  • more:
CBS and "CSI" star George Eads reached an agreement Friday (July 23) that will allow Eads back on the series, a little more than a week after he was fired in a contract dispute.

So, despite much back-and-forth talk about contracts and oversleeping and the like, it turns out television's highest-rated drama series will begin its fifth season with cast intact. Jorja Fox, who was also fired from the show last week, got her job back Thursday.

  • "CSI" will resume production next week with, at most, one fewer regular than in past seasons.
Television's top-rated drama brought Jorja Fox back to its cast Thursday (July 22), the AP reports. George Eads, the other cast member who was dumped late last week in an apparent salary dispute, remained out of a job.

Fox's rehiring ends, at least for her, a well-documented week in which she was booted from the show in an apparent salary dispute. CBS let her and Eads go after the two didn't show up for their first day of work on "CSI's" fifth season.
