Anyone ever used the hotel link on aircanada.ca?
I've been looking for HKG hotels for next week and it took my a while to find a room directly with the hotel. (It's the Rugby thing in HKG next week so most hotels are fully booked) I understand that the hotel link on AC's website is basically Destina. The interesting thing here is:
Destina's site shows only the rack rate being available but the hotel link on AC's site shows the lowest rate being available.
I am just thinking whether I should book via the hotel link on AC's site and cancel the booking that I made directly with the hotel. Just not sure whether it's worth the risk but the rate on AC's site will save me significant money.
(And it looks like the actual booking site on AC's main site is simply hotels.com)

Empress try Priceline.com as well and you might be surprised at the rates you get even when the town appears to be sold out.I just got a five star in Rome for Easter week at $110USD per night.
Otherwise, I would go with the AC link because Destina has bcome a suckers game for everything including Airfares on AC.
Wow, that is fabulous for Rome. What hotel did you get? When did you bid for it?

WillTravel, if you don't already know, check out this link:

It gives you a very good idea on what you need to bid to get a specific level of hotel and what the winning hotels usually are. (Beware about posting on that board though, the moderator/owner is arrogant; lots of threads in the FT Travel online booking forum about that)
Thanks, I'm very aware of that particular dynamic http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif. I didn't see Parnell's bid there, though, which is why I asked. Also check out http://www.betterbidding.com for another site that has Priceline and Hotwire bidding posts.
